Bratz™ Rhythm & Style

Fashion game for all platforms

This was a more ambitious project than the previous one and once again it involved releasing the game in all platforms.

The game features an story mode with multiple locations you can explore, optional content, multiple game modes, character and clothes customization and local multiplayer.

I was involved in the full development of the game and I'm responsible for many of its core systems and features.

Being a small team, I had lots of responsabilities in this project. Some of the most important, while not covering all, were:

  • Creating the whole clothes and character customization system. Used both by the players and all npcs, including internal tools to make the latter.
  • Creating the character controller and managing interactivity.
  • Programming gameplay for different game modes.
  • Implementing dynamic UI for most of the game and menus.
  • Handling data, addressables and optimization.
  • Developing internal tools to help the team with various other tasks.

This game had a bigger scope than the prior one. It was more challenging but I've learned a lot thanks to that. I'm really proud of the customization of the characters and how universal it is that we could use the same system for all npcs. Our designers had fun making all the outfits using tools within the editor that made it similar to making them in-game while generating and setting up all relevant files.
